Diving the Continental Divide at Silfra, Iceland

While in Iceland I put my Divemasters certificate to use and stroked another item off my bucket list diving the continental divide at Silfra.

The two continents are ripping apart from each other at a rate of 2-18 centimeters a year and I was able to swim between them, even touching both at the same time. Even more impressive is the clarity of the water, with visibility reaching more than 100 meters.
