    1. Hi Bill thanks for the message! Most of the Saskatchewan pieces I write, I sell – versus posting them for free on my blog. I write a monthly column in Pink Magazine and have written for Post Media (Star Phoenix and Leader Post) as well as several SK based pieces for CAA Magazine in both AB, SK and Man. Last year I was the Saskatchewanderer and you can find a whole year of my adventures here if you’re interested! http://saskatchewanderer.ca/blog/tag/ashlyns-2015-adventure

I have some big plans on some pieces about Saskatchewan though so do keep an eye on my website 🙂

  1. I genuinely had no idea that Saskatchewan was so beautiful! You’ve definitely fuelled my wanderlust. I’m curious to know how you were able to see the Northern Lights so brightly. Is Stony Rapids known as a good place to see them?

    1. The further north you go, the better the northern light performance is. Since Stony Rapids is just under the 59th parallel they often have pretty spectacular shows. However, anytime there is a geomagnetic storm, the possibility of seeing northern lights further south is quite frequent too and Saskatchewan is a common place to enjoy them. Glad to fuel your wanderlust! 🙂

  2. I’m from Alberta, but my dad’s side of the family is from Saskatchewan so I usually try to go there at least once a year. These are some beautiful photos. Saskatchewan is such an underrated province in Canada.

  3. Have always enjoyed your amazing pictures capturing our wonderful diamond of a province. Sure miss you as the Saskatchewanderer. Will continue to enjoy your travel pics and blogs through your Lost Girl’s Guide. keep jumping….

    1. Thanks Gerald! I’m glad you still enjoy my blogs although they aren’t as Saskatchewan focused as the Saskwanderer was. I do have some big plans in the province still and am excited to work on some projects at home this year 🙂

  4. did you ever think you would see a light house on the prairies. that light house is only an hour or so from my home town of Unity

  5. I travelled and worked abroad for 5 years and I was always glad to come home to Saskatchewan, there’s no place like it!

  6. It’s hard to believe I’ve lived here for my lifetime (27 years) and have only covered about 1/4 of what my province has to offer. Thanks for the pics they are very inspiring!

    1. It’s so big it’s hard to see everything! Even after my year being paid to travel everywhere, I’ve only added more destinations to my list! So many great things to see and do in Saskatchewan 🙂
