Comprehensive Packing List

I can carry a surprising amount of stuff in my 70 liter backpack, but it's often heavy and I usually tend to overpack on clothing.

I can carry a surprising amount of stuff in my 70 liter backpack, but it’s often heavy and I usually tend to overpack on clothing.

What should I pack for my trip? What kind of luggage should I take? How many shirts do I really need? How heavy does my bag weigh and will I get charged overweight fees at the airport?  These are just a few of the questions you might be asking yourself when heading out on your next vacation.

Packing is often a tedious and sometimes frustrating chore and it never fails that I get to my destination and realize I left something at home, or that I’ve packed way too many things that I won’t use, and nothing is worse than carrying around an overweight bag full of useless items.

So to help out with what to take while traveling, I have compiled a comprehensive packing list that has everything you need to think about, pack, and use while you’re away. This list is good for short weekend vacations or long haul trips of several months or more. Some list items have been generalized, such as specific and personal medications, and I don’t include specialty items like diving or camping equipment, but it covers all important things and should give you a solid base for deciding what to throw in your backpack or suitcase.

Very nice meeting you. Mike and Kim Greek.
